Mount Kilimanjaro Climb

In January 2022, my daughter and I climbed Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania.  At 19,341 feet, Mount Kilimanjaro is the tallest mountain in Africa and the tallest free-standing mountain in the world.  Led by our Alpine Ascents International guides, we climbed approximately 14,000 feet to reach the Uhuru Peak summit in the early hours of the sixth day and then began our descent of the mountain, reaching the bottom on our seventh day.

Unlike most other galleries on this website, this gallery contains photographs captured by my four fellow climbers and used here with their permission. I have included their photos in order to tell a more complete visual story of our climb. Images that I captured are indicated by my copyright watermark.
